handmade · upcycled · one of a kind
No two pieces
are ever the same.
I take thrifted textiles and rework them into something entirely new, one stitch at a time.
How it works
from thrift find to your wardrobe in five steps
Sourcing
I visit local thrift stores hunting for textiles that might otherwise end up in landfill, including pieces with stains, rips, or flaws most people pass on.
Inspiration
I pull inspiration from everywhere. Every piece starts with a vision, but I let the materials guide the final design.
Rework
Each piece is completely reworked by me. Depending on the design, it usually takes 5 to 10 hours to complete a single piece.
Release
Pieces drop on my website or through live shows. Follow @sewflippingthrifty or join the mailing list to know first.
It's Gone
Because every piece is made from unique materials, nothing can ever be recreated exactly. If you love it, grab it while you can!
New In
why it matters
Every purchase fights
fast fashion.
92 million tons of textile waste ends up in landfill every year. And even when clothing is donated, 80% of it still ends up in landfill anyway.
I specifically look for pieces that are stained, defective, or damaged, the ones people would not normally take. I turn what would have been thrown away into something new so it can have a second life.
